Early indications are that Mariah Carey’s new album ‘Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse’ will drop out of UK’s Top 30 this week.
Based on Sunday sales, the album is projected to slip to No.35, posting a 75% sales drop. The difference between No.35 & No.20 is less than 500 units.
There are no signs of any promotional activity; however fans in the UK have reported that their local HMV stores have begun to be restocked after last weeks CD production issue which caused stock to be removed from shelves.
Meanwhile in Ireland, ‘Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse,’ isn’t fairing any better. The Irish Midweek Chart has the album falling outside the Top 75, it is very tight and only 40 copies stand in the way of the album remaining in the Top 75.
