Mariah Carey on Japanese Charts

Mariah Carey’s “Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse” slips slightly on the Official Japanese Oricon Album Charts this week. The album officially came out in Japan on 03 June, 2014, but charted a week early based on import sales:

Oricon Combined Albums Chart
53. Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse (down 25)
Sales for Week: 1,700 units
Total Sales: 10,994 units

Oricon International Albums Chart
19. Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse (down 8)

Chart rankings are based on physical album sales only.

Meanwhile Billboard Japan’s consolidated (digital & physical) albums chart has “Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse” as a new entry this week:

Reports from Japanese fans have hinted that there has been stock issues during the first week of release. Stocking issues seem to be resolved this week.
