Mariah Carey’s new album ‘Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse’ drops for the first time this week to No.7 on today’s overall sales chart based on sales up to midnight 28 May,2014. The difference between No.7 & No.10 is less than 500 units, so there is no guarantee that the album will finish with a Top 10 placing as currently there are no signs of any promotional activity & continued reports from fans in the UK that they are finding it very difficult to find the album in stores.
Meanwhile in Ireland, “Me. I Am Mariah,” slips one place to No.19 on the latest midweek chart. Only a handful of sales represent the gap between No.15 & No.25, so we are hoping the release can manage to hold on to a Top 20 spot by the end of the week.
