Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ has been named the nation’s favourite Christmas song – a new poll has found.
The survey by money saving site, PromotionalCodes.org.uk asked 600 online shoppers to name their top festive tune from a list of ten provided.
More than a quarter of voters, 26%, said that Carey’s hit Christmas song was their number one choice.
One woman who took part in the poll said: ‘As soon as I hear these songs on the radio, I know that Christmas is just around the corner. Although after about the fifth or sixth time of hearing Noddy Holder shouting ‘It’s Christmas!’ they begin to grate a little. For that reason, Mariah would have to be my number one choice, as it’s the only Christmas song I can listen to over and over again without getting sick of it.’
