The chart employs the same Nielsen data-based airplay/streaming/sales hybrid methodology as the Billboard Hot 100, with holiday songs of all eras eligible to appear.
Carey’s hit tops Holiday Digital Songs with 29,000 downloads sold (up 89%), according to Nielsen SoundScan, and Holiday Streaming Songs with 833,000 U.S. streams (up 71%), according to Nielsen BDS. It ranks at No. 4 on Holiday Airplay with 24.2 million audience impressions (up 127%), according to BDS. Brenda Lee’s 1958 classic “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” (No. 2 on the Holiday 100) leads Holiday Airplay with 24.9 million in listenership.
